Mt. Carmel City Hall is reminding those citizens taking advantage of city leaf collection not to rake or blow their leaves into the streets.

City Inspector Mike Gidcumb today said leaves piled in the roadways creates a hazard for drivers who find themselves traveling over wet leaves and can't see where curbs meet the street. Piling leaves in the roads also clogs storm water drains.

Piles of leaves should be located at the edge of the yard near the curb.
