Jordan Cook, on left, and Shea Smith, just two of the Mt. Carmel High School Golden Aces football players who attended Wednesday night’s tailgate party, pep session and bonfire, did not waste any time dressing up their hamburgers with the appropriate condiments. The event, delayed a couple of weeks by inclement weather, was sponsored by Rod and Debbie Rodriguez.

There is more than one way to get to Rochester for Saturday's Illinois High School Association Class 4A Playoff Game, which begins at 4 p.m.

Mt. Carmel Golden Aces football fans have the choice of two ways, one from Decatur, the other from Taylorville.

From Decatur, fans can take Interstate 72 west to Springfield, then go south on Interstate 55. Fans then take the Illinois 29 exit and travel east about five miles until they get to Rochester. They will see the high school on their left and the field is located to the north of the school.

If Golden Aces fans come from Taylorville, they'll take Illinois 29 west until they get to Rochester. The school will be on the right hand side of the road. The field is located behind the high school to the north.
