Snow storm may slam county on Christmas

PRINCETON—Early weather reports suggest Gibson County could face more than 6 inches of snow over Christmas night into Wednesday morning, significantly affecting holiday travel plans, local weather officials say.

According to the National Weather Service out of Paducah, Ky., a winter storm watch is in effect until Wednesday morning due to a potential snow storm that will affect much of Southern Illinois and Southwest Indiana Tuesday evening.
