Kicking butts to prevent deaths from tobacco use

OAKLAND CITY—Dozens of Wood Memorial High students engaged in Kick Butts Day, a national tobacco prevention initiative that took place in schools Wednesday.

Josh Thompson, sponsor for the Student Wellness and Awareness Team (SWAT) and Fellowship of Christian Athletes, said the goal of the event was to bring awareness to students and prevent deaths from tobacco.
