PRINCETON-A 26-year-old man was arrested Wednesday for accused of taking part in a July break-in and robbery at a Vail Estates apartment.
Kristopher L. Friede is facing charges of stealing a laptop computer, a video game console and several games from an apartment at the Princeton complex.
According to charging information, Friede was drinking with Joshua D. Hollis, 18, at an apartment rented by Hollis' father.
Police say Hollis and Friede broke through a wall in the apartment and Hollis went into the neighboring residence.
Hollis then let Friede in the apartment, where they stole the electronic equipment, police said. According to an affidavit for probable cause, Friede later left the apartment with all of the stolen goods.
In a separate incident following the alleged theft, police say Hollis later went to Schafer Construction Co., at 292 S. Richland Creek Drive, and lit a fire that destroyed much of that structure.
Hollis is facing felony counts of arson for the July 7 fire at the construction business, as well as charges of theft and burglary.
Friede was booked Wednesday morning at the Gibson County Jail for burglary and theft. He remains in custody pending a $1,000 bond.
Friede was not charged with any counts in relation to the fire.
