VINCENNES - Roland K. Bayne, 71, of Vincennes, passed away Friday at Good Samaritan Hospital,

Born May 8, 1938 in Palestine, Ill., he was the son of Ranleigh and Ruth H. (Yeager) Bayne.

Survivors include his wife, Mary E. "Betty" Bayne, who he married May 13, 1962; children, Cindy Van Leir of Princeton, Jim Van Leir of Lake Hopatcong, NJ, Ranleigh Bayne of Vincennes, Rawleigh K. Bayne of Vincennes, Beverly Latshaw of Vincennes, Roland K. Bayne II of West Palm Beach, Fla.; three brothers, Richard Bayne of Las Vegas, Nev., Randy Bayne of Robinson, Ill., Joe Bayne of Palestine, Ill.; two sisters, Patricia Harris of Oblong, Ill., Mary Jo Cafin of Lake Station; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Nancy Bayne.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. (EDT) Wednesday at Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home in Vincennes with the Rev. Michael Julian officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
